Out There, In Here, On The Saturday Drop In

Sensory rooms are a specially designed spaces that provide a calming and immersive environment, offering numerous benefits for individuals with sensory processing issues, autism, anxiety, and other conditions. The room is equipped with various stimuli, such as lights, colours, textures, and sounds, which can be tailored to meet individual needs. The benefits of a sensory room include reduced stress and anxiety, improved mood, enhanced focus, and increased self-regulation.

The benefits are numerous, but one issue can be accessibility.  Finding a sensory room in your area in the first place and then, being able to reach that facility.

Jon Lane operates Out There, the mobile sensory room.  Jon (along with Wilfred the cat) joined Phil and Tom to tell them about the service.
